Frequently Asked Questions

Is Famelee really free?

Yes — listing events, creating communities, managing RSVPs, and all platform features are completely free. There are no monthly charges or subscriptions. A small service fee (3.5% + $0.50 per ticket) only applies when you sell paid tickets, and it's paid by the buyer, not the organizer.

What fees apply when I sell tickets?

There is one simple fee on paid tickets: 3.5% + $0.50 per ticket, which includes all processing costs. This fee is paid by the buyer and added on top of your ticket price — as the organizer, you receive the full ticket price you set.

How do I receive payments?

You have two payout options: Stripe (funds go directly to your Stripe account) or Interac e-Transfer if you're in Canada. You receive the full ticket price you set — the service fee is added on top and paid by the buyer.

Do I need a Stripe account?

Only if you want to sell paid tickets. You can create a free Stripe account during the event creation process. For free events, no Stripe account is needed.

Is there a limit on events or communities?

No. You can create unlimited events and unlimited communities. There are no caps on attendees or members either.

Can I use Famelee for free events only?

Absolutely. Many organizers use Famelee exclusively for free community events with RSVP management. No payment setup needed.
