1. Elora (25 minutes)
The crown jewel of day trips from Waterloo. This picturesque village sits on the edge of the Elora Gorge, a 22-metre deep limestone canyon carved by the Grand River.
Must-do: Walk through the gorge trails, browse the artisan shops on Mill Street, grab lunch at a patio overlooking the river, and in summer, swim at the Elora Quarry.

2. Stratford (45 minutes)
Famous for the Stratford Festival, this elegant town offers world-class theatre, excellent restaurants, and beautiful parks along the Avon River.
