Why is Toronto tiptoeing around the remote work vs. office debate when it should be front and center? The reality is, companies are downsizing their office spaces, and there's no denying that remote work is here to stay. But what does that mean for our vibrant city? Rent prices in downtown areas are dropping, but does that really benefit anyone if office culture dies out? The energy of places like the Financial District or King West is in jeopardy. We need to openly discuss how to balance remote flexibility and the need for collaborative spaces. Now's the time for a real dialogue about the future of work and its impact on our city's identity. What do you think? Should we embrace the hybrid model, or do we risk losing our community?
