Refund Policy
Last updated: March 4, 2026
1. Overview
Famelee facilitates ticket sales between event organizers and attendees. Refund eligibility depends on the specific refund policy set by the event organizer and the circumstances described below. When you purchase a ticket, the organizer's refund policy is displayed on the event page before checkout.
2. Cancelled Events
If an event organizer cancels their event, all ticket holders receive a full refund including the ticket price and service fee. Refunds for cancelled events are processed automatically within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. You do not need to request a refund — it will be issued automatically.
3. Postponed Events
If an event is postponed by 90 or more days from the original date, all ticket holders are entitled to a full refund upon request. Your ticket remains valid for the rescheduled date unless you request a refund. If an event is postponed by less than 90 days, the organizer's standard refund policy applies.
4. Organizer-Set Refund Policies
When creating a paid event, organizers choose one of the following refund policies:
Refundable (48-Hour Policy)
Tickets are refundable up to 48 hours before the event start time. Service fees are non-refundable. After the 48-hour window, all sales are final.
No Refunds
All sales are final. No refunds are issued for any reason other than event cancellation by the organizer.
The applicable refund policy is always displayed on the event page and in the checkout summary before you complete your purchase.
5. How to Request a Refund
Refund requests can be submitted in two ways:
- Logged-in users: Visit the event page and click "Request Refund" on your ticket. You can provide an optional reason for your request.
- Guest purchases: Email [email protected] with your order confirmation email or ticket code.
Refund requests are reviewed within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
6. Service Fee Refundability
Service fees are handled as follows:
- Voluntary refund requests (under the 48-hour policy): Service fees are non-refundable. Only the ticket price is refunded.
- Event cancelled by organizer: Full refund including service fees.
- Event removed by Famelee for policy violations: Full refund including service fees.
7. Guest Purchase Refunds
If you purchased tickets as a guest (without creating an account), you can request a refund by emailing [email protected] with your name, email address used at checkout, and ticket code or order confirmation. The same refund eligibility rules apply to guest purchases.
8. Platform vs. Organizer Roles
Famelee processes refunds on behalf of organizers. Please note:
- Event organizers are responsible for setting and honoring their refund policies.
- Famelee is not liable for an organizer's failure to deliver their event as described.
- Disputes about event quality or experience should first be directed to the event organizer.
- Famelee may, at its discretion, issue refunds from its own funds in cases of organizer fraud or platform policy violations, but is not obligated to do so.
9. Dispute Resolution & Contact
If you are unable to resolve a refund issue directly with the event organizer, contact us at [email protected]. We will review the situation and mediate in good faith. You may also exercise your standard chargeback rights through your payment provider.
